Integrated Coastal Management Plan (ICM)


NAVOTAS CITY - The Department of Environment and Natural Resources-National Capital Region (DENR-NCR) through its Coastal Resource and Foreshore Management Section recently conducted an orientation on the Integrated Coastal Management Plan, (ICM) to new members of the Navotas City ICM Technical Working Group.

The orientation is in line with the implementation of E.O. 533 or “Adopting ICM as a National Strategy to Ensure Sustainable Development of the Country’s Coastal and Marine Environment and Resources” and compliance to the Supreme Court’s Writ of Continuing Mandamus order to clean and rehabilitate Manila Bay.

Recognition of the Pioneering Role of DENR-NCR in the Implementation of Land Administration and Management System (LAMS) Philippines


The Department of Environment and Natural Resources-National Capital Region (DENR-NCR) receives an award from the Land Management Bureau (LMB) on Friday, September 2, 2016 at Rembrandt Hotel in Quezon City.

The award was in recognition of the pioneering role of DENR-NCR in the implementation of Land Administration and Management System (LAMS) Philippines.  LAMS Philippines is an information system designed to provide effective management of land records and efficient delivery of land transactions and information services to the public.

Regional Director Lourdes C. Wagan (fourth from left), received the award together with Engr. Ignacio Almira, Jr., Surveys and Planning Division Chief (third from left), and Engr. Margie Gianan, LAMS DENR-NCR Project Coordinator (extreme left).  Atty. Emelyne V. Talabis (second from left) gave the award while Atty. Ernesto D. Adobo, Jr., Undersecretary for Administration and Information Systems and Hon. Rommel R. Abesamis, Assistant Secretary for Foreign Assisted and Special Projects, stood as witnesses to the ceremony.
